Red Bull Romaniacs 2026: a seventh win for Lettenbichler
A prologue in Sibiu and four days through the Carpathians: the 23rd running of what riders call the world's toughest hard enduro rally.
Red Bull Romaniacs
Romaniacs is a round of the Hard Enduro World Championship: a city prologue in Sibiu, then four off-road days of 120 to 180 kilometres through the Carpathians with two nights away from town. Riders from 58 nations raced in nine classes, from the professional Gold to the amateur Iron and Adventure classes.

At the end of July the hard enduro world gathered in Sibiu for the 23rd time. After a prologue through the city streets, riders spent four days in the Carpathians: steep rock climbs, root-covered descents, river beds and track navigation where every mistake costs minutes.
Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM) won the Gold class for the seventh time. Teodor Kabakchiev (Sherco) was second and James Moore (Beta) third.
For most riders outside the pro class, simply reaching the finish is the goal, and tyres play a big part in that: the rear has to survive four days of sharp rock while still gripping on wet roots, and the front has to steer precisely down steep descents.
