OBOR takes the new RocScraper to King of the Hammers 2025
Eight drivers, a new 35-inch soft-compound tyre and the toughest off-road race in the world.
King of the Hammers
King of the Hammers in the California desert is regarded as the toughest off-road race in the world: fast desert sections alternate with granite rock crawling, where a tyre needs grip, compliance and sidewalls that take the hits.
- When
- 1–8 February 2025
- Where
- Johnson Valley, California, USA
- Type of race
- Ultra4, desert and rock – UTV
OBOR brought a new family of side-by-side tyres, the RocScraper, to King of the Hammers 2025 in California's Johnson Valley. The 35-inch soft-compound tyre is built for what matters most there: grip on bare rock and the ability to wrap around an obstacle instead of sliding off it.
A team of eight drivers on different machines raced the new tyres, Brian Deegan and Vanessa Tortolero among them, and fans could meet the drivers and see the tyres at OBOR's booth in the race village.
It was a launch at the race with no equal in off-roading, and it laid the groundwork for 2026, the year OBOR broke through at the Hammers.
