A year after launching the RocScraper, OBOR returned to King of the Hammers with fifteen teams and a new version of the tyre: the 35-inch RocScraper Competition with Kevlar-reinforced sidewalls. The reinforcement lets drivers run lower pressures for more grip on rock without losing stability.
The results came straight away. Kurt Mackie won Pro Stock Turbo, Dustin Robbins finished fourth overall in the UTV championship and Shabs Piercy fourth in Pro Mod.
OBOR also started the race's toughest class, 4400 Unlimited (Race of Kings), for the first time, with Dustin Robbins and Robert Liebel. It marked the brand's step from challenger to serious contender at the hardest off-road race there is.
